The short version
- Risiti helps you keep records of sales and expenses and make receipts. You stay responsible for your records and for what you do with them.
- Readings by AI can be wrong. Check them before you save.
- Risiti is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and its receipts are not official tax invoices.
- Your records live on your device, and in your account if you make one. Keep backups.
- Your business's page is public. What is on it, and every sale that comes from it, is between you and your customers.
- Risiti is provided as it is, and it will change over time.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Risiti (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Risiti app, its reading service and this website (together, “Risiti”). By using Risiti you accept them. If you use Risiti for a business, you accept them for that business too, and you confirm that you are allowed to. You must be at least 18 to use Risiti.
What Risiti does
Risiti lets you record sales and expenses for one or more shops, read sales and expenses from photos, screenshots, PDFs and messages using AI, make receipts for customers, and see summaries of how your business is doing. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Your records
You don't need an account. Without one, your records are stored on your device, or in an AI assistant app's private storage if you open Risiti inside one, as the privacy policy explains. You are responsible for keeping backups: we cannot restore records you lose, for example because a device is lost or reset or the browser's data is cleared.
If you make an account, your records are also stored in it and kept in step on the devices where you sign in. Keep your password and recovery code to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has them. We cannot reset a password without the recovery code, so keep the code safe. Download a backup now and then all the same.
Your records belong to you. You give us no rights over them, except what is needed to read the items you send to the reading service and return the result to you.
Check what Risiti reads
Reading is done by an AI model. It is usually right, but it can misread amounts, dates, names, items or categories, or miss something. Review every result before you save it and correct anything that is wrong. Totals, summaries and insights are only as accurate as the records they are built from.
Not professional advice
Risiti's numbers, notes and insights are there to help you understand your business. They are not accounting, tax, financial or legal advice. Tax rates and presets are provided for convenience and can change: check them with your tax authority, such as the Kenya Revenue Authority, or a qualified adviser before you rely on them.
Receipts you make
You are responsible for every receipt you make with Risiti: that it is accurate, that it records a real sale, and that you meet the rules that apply to you. A Risiti receipt is a record of payment, not an official tax invoice. Where the law requires a tax invoice from a system such as KRA eTIMS, issue it there; Risiti lets you add that invoice's number to your receipt.
Your business's page and its address
A business on Risiti can have a public page at risiti.ai/its-name. You choose the name when you set the page up. Names go to whoever takes them first, and using one does not make it yours: don't take a name that belongs to another business or person, that pretends to be someone you are not, or that uses a brand you have no right to use. We may take a name back, give it to the business it belongs to, or keep it out of use, and some names are reserved for Risiti.
You are responsible for what is on your page: that your prices, hours, payment numbers and offers are true and up to date, that you have the right to every word, photo and logo on it, and that what you offer is legal where you sell it. You allow us to show your page publicly, to copy it as needed to serve it quickly and make its sharing picture, and to list it so that search engines can find it, for as long as the page is shown. You can hide it at any time.
Pictures that Risiti makes for a page with AI are illustrations. Check each one before you use it, and use it only where it fairly shows the kind of thing you sell.
Orders and messages sent from your page go straight from your customer to you. The sale, payment, delivery and anything that follows are between you and your customer: Risiti is not part of them and does not handle the money. If someone makes a claim against us because of what is on your page, you are responsible for it, to the extent the law allows.
We may hide or remove a page, a picture or a name that breaks these terms or the law, or after a complaint we find to be valid, and we will tell you where we can.
Staff, shared shops and Live from WhatsApp
When you share a shop with someone in Staff access, you decide what they see and do, and you are responsible for what they do with it. End their access when they leave.
Use Live from WhatsApp only in chats you run or have the right to record, and tell the people in them that the reports they post are recorded in Risiti. Turn it off, and take away its notification access, on a phone you no longer use.
Fair use
Don't use Risiti to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- make false or misleading receipts or records, or deceive anyone, including customers, lenders or a tax authority;
- offer goods or services that are illegal where you sell them, or make a page that misleads customers or pretends to be another business or person;
- send content you have no right to share, or other people's information you are not allowed to use;
- disrupt or overload Risiti, get around its limits, or use the reading service other than through the app, for example with automated requests.
We may limit or stop access to the reading service, or to any part of Risiti, to protect it or the people who use it.
Other services
Risiti relies on other companies, including Cloudflare, which hosts it, Anthropic, which provides the AI that reads what you send and writes insights, and OpenAI, which makes pictures for business pages when their owners ask. If you open Risiti inside an AI assistant app, your use of that app is also governed by your agreement with its provider. Links to other websites are there for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Ownership
Risiti's name, logo, design and software belong to Risiti or its licensors. You may use Risiti to run your own business and manage your own money. You may not copy or resell Risiti or offer it as your own service. Typefaces and open-source components are used under their own licenses.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Risiti running well, but we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Reading needs an internet connection and may be unavailable or limited at times. We may change, suspend or stop any part of Risiti. If we stop Risiti altogether, we will try to give you notice so that you can download your records.
No warranty
Risiti is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms, including that it suits a particular purpose or that what it reads or calculates is accurate.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Risiti is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, that arise from your use of Risiti. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer where you live.
Ending
You can stop using Risiti at any time: delete your records, and your account if you have one, in Settings, and remove the app. We may stop providing Risiti to you if you break these terms. If we do, we will try to let you download your records first, unless the law stops us. The sections on receipts you make, your business's page, fair use, ownership, no warranty and liability still apply after you stop.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of .
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also say so in the app or on this website before it takes effect. If you keep using Risiti after that, you accept the updated terms.
